Critical Needs Request Form
The following requirements must be met in order to be considered for a Critical Needs Grant:
  • Organization must be able to provide proof of 501 (c) (3) status
  • Organization must have been in existence for at least two years
  • Organization must have prospects of continued funding
  • Funding need must be for a specific emergency need
  • Monies must be used in McLennan County
  • Grants may not be used for fund-raising, travel, political, training, scholarships, tuition, seminars or general operating expenses or for building funds.
  • Funds may not be granted for sectarian religious projects,
  • Agencies currently funded by the Junior League of Waco are not eligible for Critical Needs Grants unless it is an extreme emergency

Agencies will be notified of the Research & Development Committee decision within 30 days of receipt of the application.

*Except in cases of extreme emergencies, an agency, which has received Community Critical needs monies, will not be eligible to reapply for twenty-four months after receipt of grant.
